North Dakota's Continuation of Insurance Program provides payment of health insurance premiums, copayments and deductibles for people living with HIV/AIDS if such payment is determined to be a cost-effective alternative to payment of future medical assistance and economic assistance costs.
Applicants must:
- Meet North Dakota residency requirements;
- Have a health insurance policy in effect or subject to being restored to effect upon the payment of premiums;
- Be financially unable to pay, or continue to pay, premiums; and
- Be infected with HIV.
